FINALFULLLARGETEXT

Pamela-Holly Avecilla, Ian-Adam Jones

Ian entered his bedchamber, and closed and locked the door.
He turned to look at Pamela, who was sitting up in bed, her naked breasts bared to his gaze.
Furious, she exclaimed, “How dare you shut me out of your conversation?”
“Pamela, I’m telling you now, in private, what was discussed. Besides, you weren’t exactly dressed for company,” he added, pointing to her naked breasts.
Climbing out of bed, Pamela stood in front of her husband, naked and proud, and exclaimed, “You need to treat me with a little more respect, Mr. Grant! I am your wife!”
“Then act like my wife!” Ian demanded. “Stop wandering around the forest of Thunder Mountain naked! Stop attacking people, even if they attack you first! Start dressing like my wife! Especially here in Colorado Springs! And for God’s sake, wear some fucking drawers beneath your dresses! I don’t want any man but me seeing your raven bush!”
If looks, and a slap, could kill, he’d be dead!
Pamela slapped him so hard across the face, he lost his balance, and fell to the floor.
Standing above her “husband” very proud and very naked, Pamela said, “Once we return to Thunder Mountain, and have Lulu’s cremation ceremony, I will ask Damien to perform our annulment ceremony. Once our joke of a marriage is annulled, I will have free reign to wander around the forest of Thunder Mountain naked, attack people, even if they attack me first, dress how I want to dress in Thunder Mountain, and expose my raven bush to all the men in town!” Hot tears stinging her eyes, she said, “I only exposed my naked body in town one time, Ian. One time! I was frightened, and wasn’t in my right mind! When I’m up on Thunder Mountain, I am alone. I am only naked when I swim. The rest of the time, I’m wearing my underclothes, minus my drawers. While I hated what was done to me back in South Dakota, I am still an Indian maiden. We feel restricted by clothing, and feel one with nature when we are naked.” Hating that she was crying in front of Ian, hating Ian for crying in front of him, she whispered, “It was a big mistake to tell you that I loved you last night. A big mistake! I don’t love you anymore. I hate you!” she ground out. She then ran into the bath chamber, slammed the door, and locked it.
Ian sat there for a long moment before slamming his fist into the wooden floor.
He then put his head in his hands.

10/20/14-My thoughts and prayers go out to my DEAR friend, Heidi Lippold Churas, and to her husband, Jeff. Heidi told me about ALL the FUN that he had had posing for the cover. You’re in my thoughts and prayers, Heidi and Jeff!!! R.I.P. Chewy!!!

9/11/13-Hee-Haw!!!  🙂  OK – on my iPhone, I couldn’t see Michael Hebler’s John Hancock signature.  On my computer at home, it’s there!   So, I’ll be unveiling my BRILLIANT, BEAUTIFUL cover art for Pamela and Ian in a few minutes.  🙂  I can’t wait for you to see it!!!  🙂

9/11/13-My text blurb from my BRILLIANT text blurbist Gary Simonian is done, and on my back cover.  I’m just waiting for my AMAZING cover artist Michael Hebler to put his John Hancock signature on the back cover, and send me the files so that I can show you the cover, and upload it to CreateSpace.  Thank you, Gary and Michael!!!  🙂  My cover is SO BEAUTIFUL, and I can’t wait to show it to you!!!  🙂

9/11/13-YEH!!!  🙂  My AWESOME text blurbist Gary wrote this text blurb for me for the back cover of Pamela and Ian – BE WILD MY LITTLE CHILD.  Here it is – Pamela Could Be Emancipated From Her Sexual Servitude, But Not From Her Wild Nature. It Would Take More Than Ian’s Good Intentions, Affection, And Charm To Win Pamela’s Heart. After All, Even Love May Not Tame A Child Of The Wilderness.

9/3/13-Hee-Haw!!!  🙂  I just uploaded the inside of my book to CreateSpace.  Hee-Haw!!!  🙂  To celebrate, here is the song UNWRITTEN by Natasha Bedingfield.  I am now waiting to go over the text blurb with my Consultant/Text Blurbist Gary Simonian so that I can send it to my cover artist Michael Hebler to put on the back cover, and then upload the cover to CreateSpace.

9/3/13-This snippet foreshadows me finishing Pamela and Ian, and starting the next book.  So, who do you think the next Thunder Mountain bride will be after Pamela?  🙂

Smiling, Callie said, “I’m very busy finishing Pamela’s and Ian’s story, and wondering who the next Thunder Mountain bride will be. Who do you think it’ll be?”

9/3/13-I have a few pages left to Final Edit of Pamela and Ian, and then I can upload the book part to CreateSpace today.  🙂  Once my Consultant Gary and I work on the text blurb for the back cover, I will send it to my cover artist Michael to put on the cover, and then the cover will be done, and I can upload the cover to CreateSpace.  🙂

9/3/13-Am now Final Editing pages 132-146 of Pamela and Ian, and will then upload the book part to CreateSpace today.  🙂

9/3/13-My Dedication and Acknowledgments have been approved by my Consultant Gary.  As soon as I finish Final Editing Pamela and Ian – which will be today – I can upload the book part to CreateSpace – which will be today.  🙂

9/2/13-Time to quit Final Editing Pamela and Ian for the night.  Tomorrow, I will Final Edit the final pages – pages 132-146.  🙂

9/2/13-Here’s a correction that I made to my book excerpt for Pamela and Ian:

9/1/13-Time to Final Edit Pamela and Ian – pages 103-123 (hopefully) before Work this afternoon.

8/31/13-I have finished Final Editing Pamela and Ian – for now.  Either tonight when I get home from Work, or in the morning, I will edit (hopefully) pages 103-123.

8/31/13-Time to do some more Final Editing on Pamela and Ian – pages 91-111 (hopefully).

8/29/13-Time to stop Final Editing Pamela and Ian for the night.  I will continue soon – I don’t know if I can tomorrow (since it’s my birthday) or Saturday.  I will try to get pages 91-111 done whenever I can.

8/29/13-Time to do some more Final Editing on Pamela and Ian.  I doubt that it’ll be pages 88-108, but we’ll see.  🙂

8/29/13-I got as far as page 88 since my parents are in town.  I may edit some more tonight since tomorrow is my birthday, and I won’t have a chance to edit tomorrow.  I need to edit pages 88-108.

8/29/13-Time to start Final Editing pages 74-94 of Pamela and Ian.

8/28/13-I got as far as page 74 since I must stop, and go to Work now.   Tomorrow, I will Final Edit pages 74-94 of Pamela and Ian.

8/28/13-Time to start Final Editing pages 59-79 of Pamela and Ian.

8/27/13-I just finished Final Editing pages 40-59 of Pamela and Ian.  Tomorrow, I will Final edit pages 59-79.

8/27/13-Time to start Final Editing pages 40-60 of Pamela and Ian.

8/26/13-I just finished Final Editing pages 21-39 of Pamela and Ian.  Tomorrow, I will Final Edit pages 40-60.

8/26/13-Time to start Final Editing pages 21-40 of Pamela and Ian.

8/26/13-I finished Final Editing pages 1-20.  Tomorrow, I will Final Edit pages 21-40 of Pamela and Ian.

8/25/13-Time to continue editing the first 20 pages of Pamela and Ian.

8/25/13-I had a big delay in Final Editing Pamela and Ian, but now I can return to Final Editing it again.  Thank God I only Final Edited the first 20 pages!  I will start over, but it won’t be so bad since I already Final Edited the first 20 pages, and I shouldn’t have to make that many corrections.  It shouldn’t take me that long at all.  Once I finish Final Editing, I just need to go over the technical credits with my consultant/advisor/text blurbist Gary Simonian, and then work on the text blurb with him so that I can send it to Michael Hebler to put on the back cover so that I can show you the final cover.  The book will be out in two weeks – if not less.  🙂

8/15/13-I need to wait for my text formatter Chris Harris to fix a margin issue on one scene, and then format the Sneak Preview scene at the beginning of the book before I can continue final editing pages 21-40 of Pamela and Ian.

8/15/13-Time to start final editing pages 21-40 of Pamela and Ian.

8/14/13-I just finished final editing pages 1-20 of Pamela and Ian.  🙂  Pages 21-40 will be final edited tomorrow.

8/14/13-Time to start final editing Pamela and Ian.  So as not to feel overwhelmed and make mistakes like I did when I final edited Marjorie and Damien, I will only final edit 20 pages a day.  This way, I will feel relaxed, and can relax.  It’s not good for the brain to cram it all into one go.  Once I finish final editing, I will work on the text blurb with my consultant/advisor/text blurbist Gary Simonian so that I can get it off to Michael Hebler to put on the back cover.  Pamela and Ian will be out in less than two weeks.  🙂

8/4/13-Chris Harris has finished formatting the text for Pamela and Ian, and I will be FINAL EDITING this week.  Once the FINAL EDITING is done, I just need to work on the text blurb for the back cover with my consultant/advisor/text blurbist Gary Simonian so that I can get it off to Michael Hebler to put on the back cover.  Pamela and Ian will be out in two weeks – if not sooner.  I should say two weeks.  🙂

7/10/13-Since the bio photo on the bio page has to be in black & white, here’s the photo in black & white.

bio page 3 - Copy

7/10/13-Taken by my photographer Robin Polk, here’s the photo that my consultant/advisor Gary Simonian chose for my bio pic for my bio page in Thunder Mountain Brides:  Be Wild My Little Child – Pamela.

bio page 3

6/23/13-I just sent my book – with the scenes titles – to Chris Harris to format.

6/23/13-Before I can send my Word Document off to Chris Harris to format, I need to create titles for each scene.  I created this after seeing this on DVD’s – scene titles.

6/23/13-YEH!!!  🙂  I am done with Pamela and Ian – at least for now!!!  🙂  I have written 122 pages.  I need to send the document to my text formatter, Chris Harris, to format before I can final edit it.  And I also need to get my text blurb for my back cover from my text blurbist, Gary Simonian, so that I can give it to my cover artist, Michael Hebler, to put on the back cover.  Once I get all this, and final edit, the book will be out!!!  🙂  YEH!!!  🙂

6/23/13-YEH!!!  🙂  I have one more scene to copy and paste into my Word Document – which I wrote while waiting for Nick Strimple’s Retirement Concert at Church to start.  This is the last scene, and then I’m done writing this book!!!  🙂  I’m HAPPY and SAD at the same time.  🙂  Writing Pamela and Ian has been PURE JOY.  🙂

6/23/13-I have one more scene – a quick scene – the Epilogue – which I’ll write in the morning since it’s 1:07 AM.  Can you guess who my next Thunder Mountain bride will be?  Hint:  it’s listed on my Website – you’ll have to find where.  The person who answers this question correctly will get a FREE copy of your choice of either Edith, Agnes, Danny, or Marjorie – depending on which book you need.

6/22/13-Time to copy and paste what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my Work breaks to my Word Document.  I can’t post the scene, but there are two more scenes after this.

6/22/13-I am working on the first of four remaining scenes right now, and the PERFECT song for this scene is Shelly Fairchild’s KISS ME.  Here is the song and lyrics.  Can you tell what kind of a scene this is?  VERY HAPPY and VERY, VERY HOT!!!  🙂

Sittin’ ’round here in the Memphis heat Only one thing to do Get on out of this delta sun And start lovin’ up on you
‘Cause in the mornin’ Oh, I want you in the evenin’ All the time and in between it I want you in every way
So kiss me I just wanna be together And no one’s gonna love you better Every night and every day, yeah, yeah
Sittin’ here starin’ at the muddy water moon Underneath the spell of the night I’m gonna give you everything I got So get over here and hold me tight
‘Cause in the mornin’ Oh, I want you in the evenin’ All the time and in between it I want you in every way
Oh, yeah, so kiss me I just wanna be together And no one’s gonna love you better Every night and every day, yeah, yeah
Baby, know you got me by the look in my eyes Oh, I give myself away Somethin’ ’bout the way you are is workin’ on me And there is nothin’ left that I can say, yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah, kiss me I just wanna be together And no one’s gonna love you better Every night and every day, yeah
Oh, yeah, in the mornin’ Oh, I want you in the evenin’ All the time and in between it Every night and every day, yeah, yeah

6/22/13-I am actually writing the Pamela and Ian scene from both points of view.  Instead of two scenes, there’ll be four to showcase the feelings of both parties.  I can’t do that with one continuous scene.  I need to show this scene from both viewpoints – hence separate scenes.  🙂

6/22/13-Again, while I can’t show you the final photo of Pamela and Ian and Chewy and Lucy the Snowy Owl in the meadow scene just yet, I can show you the photo shoot photo of Holly and Adam posing for this scene.

Pamelabackclose-up035

6/22/13-While I can’t show you the final photo of Pamela in the meadow scene just yet, here is the original photo and Holly’s photo shoot photo, along with a photo of The Snowy Owl – the owl which’ll be sitting on Pamela’s lap.  Pamela is one with nature and wild animals.  She calls her Snowy Owl friend Lucy.  I was going to have her call it Peter, but then just found out that the photo I used is a girl owl.  So Peter became Lucy.  🙂  Snowy Owls nest in the Arctic tundra of the northermost stretches of Alaska, Canada, and Eurasia. They winter south through Canada and northern Eurasia, with irruptions occurring further south in some years. Snowy Owls are attracted to open areas like coastal dunes and prairies that appear somewhat similar to tundra. They have been reported as far south as the American states of Texas, Georgia, the American Gulf states, southernmost Russia, and northern China.  It’s a good thing, or I wouldn’t have been able to use this owl.  I’ll have this Snowy Owl flying to Colorado to visit Pamela since she can fly to Texas and Georgia.  BTW, this Snowy Owl’s real name is Oink. In Be Wild My Little Child – Pamela, her name is Lucy.

6/22/13-The scene I’m working on now is in need of the PERFECT song.  The song I am listening to now while writing this scene is LEARN TO BE LONELY by Minnie Driver.  It describes Pamela PERFECTLY.  That’s all I can say about this scene – you must read the book for this scene.  Here is the song and lyrics to describe Pamela PERFECTLY in this scene.

Child of the wilderness Born into emptiness Learn to be lonely Learn to find your way in darkness
Who will be there for you Comfort and care for you Learn to be lonely Learn to be your one companion
Never dreamed out in the world There are arms to hold you You’ve always known your heart was on its own
So laugh in your loneliness Child of the wilderness Learn to be lonely Learn how to love life that is lived alone
Learn to be lonely Life can be lived, life can be loved alone

6/22/13-I have four scenes left to write – which I should hopefully finish today.  It’s been pure joy writing Pamela and Ian, and I can’t believe I have four scenes left!  🙂

6/22/13-I have five scenes left to write – which I should hopefully finish today.  It’s been pure joy writing Pamela and Ian, and I can’t believe I have five scenes left!  🙂

6/22/13-I have five scenes left to write – which I should hopefully finish tomorrow.  It’s been pure joy writing Pamela and Ian, and I can’t believe I have five scenes left!  🙂

6/21/13-Here is the snippet of what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my Work breaks. I’m only including a part of it because I don’t want to give the rest of it away – the part where Zachary tells Edith that he has a new job.  What new job?  🙂  I’m posting this because it’s a History lesson – my friend Tim Crutchfield reminded me of this event.  So I included it by having Edith announcing it.  Poor Dude!  No wonder why he died!  Ouch!  😦

CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT

September 21, 1881 – Just after seven of the clock in the morning

Edith took a sip of hot tea, and opened the newspaper.
Her baby blue eyes widened.
“What’s wrong, Edith?” Zachary asked, holding baby Maggie in his arms.
“President Garfield died!” Edith exclaimed. “On Monday, September nineteenth, at twenty after ten at night, President Garfield suffered a massive heart attack and a ruptured splenic artery aneurysm, following blood poisoning and bronchial pneumonia. Garfield’s chief doctor, Dr. Willard Bliss, had unsuccessfully attempted to revive the fading President with restorative medication. Mrs. Garfield, having leaned over Garfield, kissed his brow, and exclaimed, ‘Oh! Why am I made to suffer this cruel wrong?’ Garfield was pronounced dead at thirty-five after ten by Dr. Bliss in the Elberon section of Long Branch, New Jersey.” Her chin quivered. “How can people assassinate others?”
“It’s a cruel, cruel world, Edith,” Zachary said. Sitting down at the breakfast table, he said, “There’s something that I need to tell you.”

6/21/13-Working on a scene right now – which I can’t post since it’s nearing the end of the book – I can say that I wanted to find a way for Pamela to get rid of her webbing.  I almost had her stabbing the webbing to get rid of them.  But I didn’t want to plagiarize a scene from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman – in which a girl with webbed hands stabs the webbing.  So then I thought of having Pamela keep her webbing.  But just now, I had the villain – I won’t say who – stab the webbing.  So now she’ll have to get rid of the webbing through surgery.

CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN

Thunder Mountain, Colorado
September 12, 1881 – Just after eleven of the clock that morning

Never having had a friend before, Pamela was delighted when Victoria asked her, along with Marjorie, Myrna, and Renée, if she wanted to come riding with her.
While Myrna declined, Pamela had a wonderful ride with Marjorie, Victoria, and Renée.
“Thunder Mountain is so quaint and charming,” Renée said.
“I used to hate it here,” Marjorie quietly said. And then she smiled, and added, “And then I met Damien.”
Pamela smiled at Marjorie.
“Are you from Colorado, Renée?” Victoria asked her.
Renée shook her head, and said, “I’m from Des Moines, Iowa. I came to Colorado Springs with my father on his business trip. He did business with Ian.” She looked down at the ground, and whispered, “That’s how I met William.”
Pamela placed her hand on Renée’s arm.
Renée smiled warmly at Pamela, very grateful for her comforting touch.
Just then, William came riding through the forest, waving his pistol at them.
When Renée screamed, Marjorie comforted her.
Bravely, Pamela rode towards William, ignoring Marjorie’s warning, and warned, “Drop your pistol, Mr. Gray!”
“And what if I don’t, you filthy, little Injun?” William asked. “Will you eat me?”
If looks, and a low, guttural growl, could kill, he’d be dead!
Before he knew what had hit him, he found himself on the ground,

6/20/13-The lyrics to the BEAUTIFUL song LANDSLIDE – covered by The Dixie Chicks – the PERFECT song for Ian re:  realizing how he TRULY feels about Pamela.

I took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain then I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life

Uh ah … uh ah …. uh ah …

Well, I’ve been afraid of changin’
‘Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I’m getting older too

Well …

(Instrumental)

Well, I’ve been afraid of changin’
‘Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I’m getting older too

Well, I’m getting older too

So, take this love and take it down
Yeah, and if you climb a mountain and ya turn around
And If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills

Well maybe …
Well maybe …
Well maybe …

The landslide will bring you down.

6/20/13-While I can’t post the scene I just wrote, I’ll repost the photo shoot photo to emphasize that when I write, I think of the PERFECT song to go with a scene.  This is the scene where Ian realizes how he TRULY feels about Pamela.  He does some heavy thinking about what he TRULY wants.  The song I chose for this scene is The Dixie Chicks’ BEAUTIFUL, BRILLIANT cover version of LANDSLIDE.  Here’s the photo and the music video.

6/20/13-Here’s a tiny snippet I just wrote.  While it just wrote itself, the outcome is based on my mother making an apple/peach pie one night for dessert when she was making an apple pie, and ran out of apples, and had to use peaches.  I didn’t know until I bit into the apple pie, and realized that it tasted strange – in a delicious way.  I thought, What am I tasting here?  She told me what had happened.  It was DELICIOUS!!!  🙂

Tammy returned his smile, and then said, “When you wake up in the morning, you can have a piece of my delicious apple/peach pie.”

CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

Outside Thunder Mountain, Colorado
Just after ten of the clock that night

Carl huddled under the warm blanket that he’d brought with him, and stared out of the mouth of the cave at the pouring rain.
Wet, cold, hungry, and scared, he wanted to go home.
He wanted to be dry, warm, and safe in his own bed.
He wanted to be with his father and baby Edith.
And while he missed his mother so very much, he liked Mrs. Finnegan.
Not only was she beautiful, she was an amazing cook!
He wanted to go home.
But he didn’t know how to get home.
He was lost.
He put his head in his hands, and cried.
“Carl?”
Carl looked up to find a small figure standing in the mouth of the cave.
At first glance, he thought it was a boy due to the fact that the figure was wearing male clothing.
His eyes widened in surprise when he realized who it was.
“Mrs. Lord? What are you doing here?”

6/18/13-Here are the beautiful lyrics to LOVER, YOU SHOULD’VE COME OVER – Natalie Maines’ beautiful song – and the inspiration for the love scene between Pamela and Ian that I’m working on now.

Looking out the door
I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations
As their shoes fill up with water

Maybe I’m too young
To keep good love from going wrong
But tonight, you’re on my mind so
You never know

Broken down and hungry for your love
With no way to feed it
Where are you tonight?
Child, you know how much I need it.
Too young to hold on
And too old to just break free and run

Sometimes a man gets carried away,
When he feels like he should be having his fun
Much too blind to see the damage he’s done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that, really,
He has no-one…

So I’ll wait for you… And I’ll burn
Will I ever see your sweet return?
Oh, will I ever learn?
Oh, Lover, you should’ve come over
Say it’s not too late.

Lonely is the room, the bed is made
The open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one
Who dreams he had you with him
My body turns and yearns for a sleep
That won’t ever come
It’s never over,
My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It’s never over,
all my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her…
It’s never over,
All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter…
It’s never over,
She’s a tear that hangs inside my soul forever…

But maybe I’m just too young to keep good love
From going wrong
Oh… lover, you should’ve come over…

Yes, and I feel too young to hold on
I’m much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind
To see the damage I’ve done
Sweet lover, you should’ve come over
Oh, love, well I’ll wait for you
Lover, you should’ve come over
It’s not too late.

6/17/13-Time to do a little more writing before going to bed.

6/17/13-A snippet of what I wrote while waiting to see my movie THE BLING RING.  Ian’s in the doghouse.  But is Pamela overreacting?  Still, Ian needs to learn that there are certain things that you don’t say to a woman – especially one who has cannibalistic tendencies.

Ian entered his bedchamber, closed, and locked the door.
Climbing out of bed, Pamela stood in front of her husband, naked and proud, and ordered, “You need to treat me with a little more respect, Mr. Grant! I am your wife!”
“Then act like my wife!” Ian demanded. “Stop wandering around the forest of Thunder Mountain naked! Stop attacking people, even if they do attack you first! Start dressing like my wife! Especially here in Colorado Springs! And for God’s sake, wear some fucking drawers beneath your clothes! I don’t want any man but me seeing your raven bush!”
If looks, and a slap, could kill, he’d be dead!
Pamela slapped him so hard across the face, he lost his balance, and fell to the carpet.
Standing above her “husband” very proud and very naked, Pamela exclaimed, “Once we return to Thunder Mountain, and have Lulu’s cremation ceremony, I will ask Damien to perform our annulment ceremony. Once our joke of a marriage is annulled, I will have free reign to wander around the forest of Thunder Mountain naked, attack

6/16/13-While love at first sight, and even before marriage, is a good thing, I like how romance novel characters marry first, and then fall in love.  I think that in a romance novel, it would be too boring if the hero and heroine fell in love first.  Falling in love after marriage gives the characters better storylines and hotter chemistry.

6/16/13-I said I’d post the aftermath scene – which is hilarious in description.  You’ll have to read the book to read it.  Why?  It’s a little X-Rated in both action and description – a little too X-Rated for Facebook.  So, you’re going to have to read the book to read this scene.  🙂

6/16/13-Time to copy and paste what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my Work breaks to my Word Document.  I won’t post the love scene – you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens – 🙂 – but I will post the aftermath – which is hilarious in description.  🙂

6/16/13-Time to do some writing before leaving for Work in a little bit.  I’m still on Pamela and Ian’s hot, passionate love scene.  🙂

6/15/13-Yes!!!  Finally!!!  I’m really getting to the hot, passionate love scene now!!!  Hee-Haw!!!  🙂

6/15/13-When I was looking for a quote for the front of my book that would match what the book was about, I found this perfect quote, and am having Ian say it to Pamela.  Here is her response below.  But first, here is this perfect, beautiful quote:  “The spaces between your fingers were created so that another’s could fill them in.”

To his surprise, Pamela said, “While I believe in God, I constantly question him. I constantly question him regarding my cannibalistic tendencies and webbed hands. I sometimes hate him for what he did to me,” she whispered, tears streaming down her face.
Ian slowly walked over to Pamela, and stared down at her for a long moment before taking her hands in his. Looking at the webbing, he said, “The spaces between your fingers were created so that another’s could fill them in.”
Pamela tried to pull her hands away from Ian’s.
To no avail.
Angry, she glared up at him, and exclaimed, “There are no spaces between my fingers for you to fill them in! Have you forgotten that, Ian? I am a freak! God has made me a freak!”
Just as angry, Ian warned, “If you say that one more time, Pamela Morning Star Grant, I will take you over my knee, and spank you! Do I make myself clear? It doesn’t bother me that you have webbed hands, Sweetheart. There is something very endearing them. And if you’ll let me, while I can’t fill your spaces in with my fingers, I can still hold your hands in mine, and caress the webbing.” Smiling a seductive smile, he whispered, “I know how that makes you feel – what that does to your insides.”

6/15/13-Time to do some awesome writing tonight.  It’s a little sad that I kept nodding off in the middle of Pamela and Ian’s very, very hot and steamy love scene last night.  A nap sounded good, and then I just decided to go to bed.  🙂

CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

Ian slowly lowered Pamela into the bedding, and said, “As my wife, you’ll have to learn how to sleep in a bed.”
Smiling sleepily, Pamela said, “I like sleeping on the floor.” She then yawned, and stretched her arms above her head.
Ian suddenly got a gigantic hard-on the size of Texas.
When Pamela had stretched, not only had her full breasts pressed against the bodice of her nightdress, the gown had gathered around her waist, from when he had carried her to the bed, completely exposing her raven curls and a glimpse of her forbidden entrance to his blue gaze.
Did Pamela know what she was exposing to his gaze?
Did she know what she was doing to him?
As if in answer to his question, Pamela’s black eyes widened, and she quickly sat up, pulling her nightdress down to cover her exposed womanhood.
Frightened, she wrapped her arms around her upraised knees.
Slowly sitting down on the edge of his bed, Ian gently said,

CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

Half past nine of the clock that night

Ian entered his bedchamber to find his wife sound asleep.
On makeshift bedding on the floor.
He really wished that she’d learn to sleep in a real bed.
Kneeling down on the floor beside her, he gently picked her up in his arms, and carefully carried her to his bed.
Their bed.
Just as he was about to lay her down in the bedding, she opened her beautiful black eyes, and looked up at him.
Dressed in a borrowed white linen nightdress with short sleeves, she looked like a very, very sleepy, and very, very beautiful Indian Princess.
He loved how her shoulder-length hair framed her round face in messy waves.
While her long hair had made her look young and innocent and very, very lovely, her new haircut made her look very, very beautiful, and very, very desirable.
Groggy, Pamela asked, “Are you going to make love to me?”
Smiling seductively down at his wife, Ian asked, “Do you want me to make love to you?”
Without hesitation, Pamela whispered, “Yes.”

6/13/13-Here’s the second snippet I wrote on my iPhone Notepad while waiting for – and on – the bus to and from Vacation Bible School, and during some VBS breaks, this morning.  So, I may be writing a new genre.  I thought I was writing western romance novels, and here I am writing CSI:  Colorado Springs.  While I am only posting a snippet of this scene – you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens – I can say that the recent crime committed in this book takes an interesting turn – for the worse.  When James Holmes, the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooter/killer, was recently found insane, I was furious!  So, I decided to include such a scenario in my book – from guilty to insane.

Half past five of the clock that afternoon

Damien tried not to let the stares that he was getting as he waited outside the Colorado Springs City Morgue bother him.
But due to the stress of William Gray’s hanging on Monday, and now Lulu’s murder – not to mention the prejudice of the Colorado Springs City Morgue against his kind – the stares truly did bother him.
He needed Marjorie more than anything at this very moment.
When Ian and Lee came out of the building, he breathed a silent breath of relief at the sight of his friends.
Until he saw the grim looks on their faces.
“What is it?” he asked them.
Ian and Lee looked at each other for a moment before Ian said, “It’s ugly, Damien. Very, very ugly, and very, very horrific.”
“Before I saw the body,” Lee said, “I thought that an autopsy wouldn’t be necessary since Lulu is going to be cremated, and William is hanging on Monday.” He was silent for a long moment before adding, “And then I saw the body.”

CHAPTER FORTY-THREE

Colorado Springs, Colorado
Five of the clock that afternoon

When Pamela, Marjorie, and Victoria entered Ian’s home, Myrna and Renée warmly greeted them.
“Victoria,” Renée said, “before getting on the train this afternoon, Ian sent us a telegram, letting us know that you love horses. Would you join me in riding horses while you are here? You, too, Pamela and Marjorie.” Returning her focus back to Victoria, she said, “Ian mentioned that you have a Celebrated American Quarter Running Horse.” Smiling proudly, she said, “We have one, too.”
Returning Renée’s proud smile, Victoria said, “I would love to see your Celebrated American Quarter Running Horse and your other horses, too. My horse is named Cocoa.”
Myrna turned her focus on Pamela and Marjorie, and gently asked, “Are you two all right?”
“I’m angry that Damien is not allowed to identify Lulu’s body!” Marjorie exclaimed. “He’s a human being!”
Looking down at the rug on the floor, Pamela said, “While Lulu did hurtful things to me, I never wished her dead. Not like this,” she whispered. She then looked at Myrna and Renée for a long moment before asking, “Are you all right?”
Not quite meeting anyone’s gaze, Renée said, “No matter what William’s done, I have been praying for his soul every night before going to sleep.”
A single tear slid down her cheek.
Myrna looked at Victoria, and said, “Victoria, I will put you and Dr. Mitchell in the East Wing.” Looking at Marjorie, she said, “Marjorie, I will put you and Damien in the West Wing.” She then looked at Pamela, and said, “Pamela, I will put you in Ian’s bedchamber. Once you are settled, please come see me in my sitting room.”

CHAPTER FORTY-ONE

Damien and Marjorie gave Pamela and Ian a few moments of privacy before making their way down the trail to the bank of the lake to meet them.
While Marjorie couldn’t tell if Pamela was relieved, embarrassed, or furious, Ian was smiling sheepishly.
Not quite meeting anyone’s gaze, Damien said, “I apologize for the intrusion, but I’m afraid that I have some very bad news regarding William, Ian.”
At the mention of his half-brother and bad news in the same sentence, Ian quickly sobered up. “Wh- What’s the bad news regarding William, Damien?”
“William’s mother sent me a telegram saying that William had been captured, and would be hanged at dawn.”
“Without a trial?” Ian asked.
Damien and Marjorie looked at each other for a moment before Damien looked back at Ian, and said, “After the crimes that he’s committed, there’s no need for a trial. And there’s more.”
Laughing a dry, bitter laugh, Ian asked, “What more could there possibly be than what you just told me?”

CHAPTER FORTY

September 10, 1881 – Just after ten of the clock in the morning

The next morning, Ian found Pamela sitting on the edge of the cliff, staring down at the water far below.
“I’m returning to Colorado Springs on the one o’clock train,” he said.
It was several long moments before Pamela turned her raven head to look up at him.
“What about the annulment ceremony?” she asked.
Why was she so cold and unfeeling? Ian thought.
Why did that bother him?
“Once Damien tells me when it is, I will return. The fourteenth will be too soon. I have a lot of paper work and bills to catch up on, and will need at least a month to sort it all out.”
Standing, Pamela stared up at Mr. Grant for a long moment before saying, “Thank you for what you did for me, Mr. Grant.”
Furious, Ian exclaimed, “Ian! My name is Ian! And don’t thank me!”
“Since you’re no longer my husband, I don’t have to call you by your Christian name, Mr. Grant!” Pamela exclaimed.
“Until the annulment ceremony, I am still your husband – in every sense of the word!” Ian exclaimed. “And my name is Ian!”
If words could kill, he’d be dead!
Instead, he found himself falling, falling, falling, and then crashing into the lake far below.
But not without taking prisoners.
Barely seconds after realizing that Pamela had pushed him off the cliff, and into the lake far below, he had reached out, and grabbed her, causing her to lose her balance, and fall off the cliff, crashing into the lake far below.
Landing in his waiting, outstretched arms.
When she opened her mouth – whether to tell him off, or to bite him, he didn’t know – he kissed her.
When she struggled in his arms, trying to break free – to no avail – he continued kissing her.
He then took her round face in his hands, forcing her to look at him. “Ian. My name is Ian. Say my name.” When she didn’t, he ordered, “Say it!”
Staring into intoxicating pools of blue, Pamela found herself putting her arms around him, and whispering, “Ian.”
Long moments passed before she put her arms around him, and returned his kiss.
Pulling Pamela closer against him, Ian undid her beautiful, handmade dress, and lowered the bodice until her full breasts and medium-sized nipples, that beckoned a man to want to suckle them, were exposed to his gaze.
Breaking their kiss, he stared at them for long, hungry, passionate moments.
Pamela’s eyes widened – in surprise or fear, she didn’t know – when Ian’s blue eyes turned dark – almost to the point of black – with hunger, and passion, and desire.
Was such a thing even possible?
When Ian’s blond head lowered to her breast to take one full globe into his mouth, she closed her eyes.
When his tongue and teeth tasted, licked, and then delicately bit her nipple, she threw back her raven head, and opened her eyes to stare up at the cloudless, blue sky.
Oh, God!
She didn’t want him to stop!
It was then that she noticed Damien and Marjorie standing on the cliff high above.
Trying hard not to watch them.

6/12/13-September 10, 1881-Pamela and Ian are getting hot and heavy in the lake – Oh Yeah!!!  🙂

6/12/13-Am going to do some fantastic, awesome writing before leaving for Westwood Presbyterian Church to teach Vacation Bible School this morning.

6/11/13-The scene I’m working on now – which I mentioned below – is so amazing!  I will not be posting it – you’ll have to wait until the book comes out to read it.  But as I’m working on this scene right now, I’m going to listen to Natalie Maines’ fantastic debut solo album Mother.

6/11/13-So things are going to start heating up now, and it’s about time!  Pamela and Ian have until September 14th (1881) to decide if they want to stay married, and it’s now September 9th (1881).  Ian’s going to call the shots now – demand some things.  He wants to be a husband to Pamela – in every sense of the word.  But first, they need to get to know each other.  They’ll play a game of – not quite 20 – 20 questions.  While they’ll reveal who they are to each other, what they are to each other, will they truly reveal what’s in their hearts and souls?

6/11/13-Here’s a snippet of the scene I’ve been working on.  The only issue I had with it was the title of Ian’s dang book, the year the book came out, and what the book was about.  I seemed to have trouble reading today.  🙂

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

Noon

Pamela entered the library to find Mr. Grant reading, while Chewy laid on his back, in heaven what with the tummy rub that he was getting.
Traitor!
Not understanding why she felt jealous, she said, “I came to tell you that your dinner is ready.”
Looking up from his book, Ian said, “Yours, too, I hope.”
“I already ate,” Pamela lied.
For some reason that Ian didn’t understand, he felt hurt. “Will you at least sit with me while I eat? While Chewy is a great listener, he lacks conversation.”
Pamela laughed, and then nodded her raven head. She then looked at the book in Mr. Grant’s hand, and asked, “What book are you reading?”
“It’s a new book called The Black Robe.”
“Marjorie was reading it before your half-brother kidnapped me. She said that it was anti-Catholic.”
“It depends on how you view Catholicism. I happen to be Catholic.” He stared at her for a long moment before asking, “Do you know how to read, Pamela?”
Pamela’s flush answered his question. She looked down at the bear skin rugs, and whispered, “No.”
Placing the book on one of the tables, he stood, and said, “You don’t have to be embarrassed, Pamela.”
Quickly changing the subject, Pamela said, “I don’t want your dinner to get cold. I shot a deer just for you.”
Without thinking about what he was doing, Ian gently took hold of Pamela’s arm, smiled warmly down at her, and said, “You don’t have to shoot a deer or a rabbit for me, Pamela. I don’t mind eating vegetarian dishes. I love vegetables.”
Pamela stared up into Mr. Grant’s eyes, and suddenly found herself lost in their baby blue pools.
She didn’t want to climb out of them.
They intoxicated her.
And then, Mr. Grant ruined everything when he took the arm that he was holding, and, with his other hand, touched her webbing.
She quickly pulled her hand away

6/11/13-I had to change the title of the book that Ian was reading from A Study In Scarlet to The Black Robe because A Study In Scarlet was set in 1881, not published in 1881.  I don’t know the exact date The Black Robe was published, but it was published in 1881, so I’ll take some liberties, and let Ian read it.  Hopefully it was published before September 8, 1881.  Here is more information about The Black Robehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Black_Robe.

6/11/13-Am going to do some fantastic, awesome writing before leaving for Westwood Presbyterian Church to teach Vacation Bible School this morning.

6/10/13-While I can’t show you the final photo of Pamela or Ian’s sides, I can repost the photo of Holly as Pamela shooting the reflection in the lake scene.  I just wrote the scene that matches this photo.  I will also post it.  The scenes on my book covers are actual scenes in the books.  Here is the photo shoot photo of the scene I just wrote.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX

Dawn

Kneeling at the edge of the lake, Pamela gently touched her short hair with her webbed fingers.
Why had she cut her hair?
Peering into the lake, her black eyes widened at the sight of her reflection looking back at her.
She had never thought of herself as beautiful.
She had never even thought of herself as pretty.
And yet, as she looked at her reflection, she saw someone that she had never seen before.
Someone very, very lovely.
She slowly reached out her webbed hand, and gently touched the air above her reflection so that she wouldn’t touch the water, and ruin what mirrored her.
Her soft pink lips parted in awe, and she suddenly wondered what Mr. Grant saw when he looked at her.
Did he see her as some wild child with cannibalistic tendencies and webbed hands, or did he see her as a lovely, young girl on the verge of womanhood?
Did he see her as someone he was forced to protect?
Or did he see her as his wife?

6/10/13-Am in bed doing some awesome writing.  In the background, I am playing Natalie Maines’ fantastic debut solo album Mother.

6/10/13-Here’s a snippet of what I wrote today so far.

CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE

Pamela slowly opened her black eyes, and watched as Mr. Grant sat up on her, not taking his blue gaze off of her.
It took her a few moments to realize where she was, and what had happened.
“Please get off of me!” she warned in a low, guttural voice.
When Mr. Grant stood, she also stood, walked over to bed, took the washcloth from the bed, walked over to the wash basin, soaked the washcloth with cold water, and began washing her sweaty body with it.
When she had no choice but to take off her soaked linen shift, she noticed Mr. Grant turning his back to her.
While she did not make it a habit of stripping naked in front of strangers, she figured that since he was her “husband”, and had already seen her naked, what did it matter?
Still turned away from her, Ian asked, “Are you all right, Pamela?”
“What do you think, Mr. Grant?” Pamela snapped.
“Ian,” Ian said. “My name is Ian. Your husband.”
“Only for a week,” Pamela reminded him.

6/10/13-Time to copy and paste what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad while waiting for my movie to my Word Document.

6/10/13-Am going to do some fantastic, awesome writing before leaving for Westwood Presbyterian Church to teach Vacation Bible School this morning.

6/9/13-Here’s a snippet of what I wrote today.  Have you ever tried to wake someone up from a nightmare?  It’s one thing if that person is “normal”.  It’s another thing if that person is a cannibal.  Watch out for your body parts!!!

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

September 8, 1881 – Just after one of the clock that morning

Because he had never gone to bed, Ian quickly sat up on the carpet when he heard soft crying from the landing up above.
He listened for a moment.
Moments later, he heard the soft sound of soft crying again.
Pamela’s soft crying.
He quickly stood, and hurried up the carpeted steps to find Pamela laying on a bear skin rug in a simple white linen shift.
Drenched in sweat, she was crying in her sleep.
Without a thought as to what he was doing – after all, how did one comfort a cannibal when she was in the midst of a nightmare? – he took her in his arms, and held her tightly against his body.
When Pamela started reacting violently – screaming, growling, hitting, and finally biting – damn! – he – without another thought as to what he was doing – laid her back in the bear skin rug bedding, smothered her with his body, and then kissed her.

6/9/13-Time to copy and paste what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my Work breaks to my Word Document.

6/9/13-I like the first two sentences of my new scene.  🙂

Nine of the clock that night

Ian had never felt guilty for masturbating.
Until now.

6/9/13-The reason why I had Pamela cut her hair was not really for plot purpose, it was for model purpose.  My model for Pamela – Holly Avecilla – has short hair – you can see it in the photo.  Pamela originally had long hair to her waist.  So because of Holly’s hair, I had to have Pamela cut her hair.  And then I gave her a reason to do so for plot purpose – she’s rebelling against Ian.  🙂

6/9/13-September 7, 1881-What would a girl do if she’s forced to have a one week “Trial Marriage” with a guy?  Here’s what Pamela did:

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

Up on Thunder Mountain
Seven of the clock that evening

When Pamela and Chewy walked down the carpeted stairs, Ian’s blue eyes widened at the sight of Pamela’s hair.
The stubborn, little wild child had cut it so that it fell to just above her shoulders in a layered bob that framed her round face.

6/9/13-September 7, 1881-Day 1 of Pamela and Ian’s one week “Trial Marriage” officially starts now.  The question is not Will it last?, but What will happen in these seven days?  Stay tuned.  🙂

6/9/13-Am going to do some awesome, fantastic writing before leaving for Work!!!  🙂

6/8/13-A snippet of what I worked on today.  I wanted to emphasize that Callie doesn’t believe that men can be saved.  While the men in the town are her dear friends, it’s her past that doesn’t allow her to believe this.

Thunder Mountain, Colorado
Three of the clock that afternoon

Callie looked up from her typewriter when Marjorie entered the office.
Smiling, she said, “Hello, Marjorie. What may I do for you?”
“I came to tell you to put Josiah and Tammy’s romance on hold,” Marjorie said.
Suspiciously, Callie asked, “Why?”
Smiling a wide smile, Marjorie said, “Because I have a new romance for you.”
Arching one blond brow, Callie asked, “Whose?”
“Pamela Morning Star and Ian Grant’s,” Marjorie said.
Smiling, Callie said, “I’m already one step ahead of you, Marjorie. I know all about them.”
“How?” Marjorie asked. Suspiciously, she asked, “Is Alexander your source?”
Smiling a wicked smile, Callie said, “A reporter doesn’t reveal her sources.”
“You’re not a reporter anymore, Callie,” Marjorie pointed out.
“Thanks for reminding me, Marjorie!” Callie sarcastically exclaimed.
And yet, she was laughing.
“Alexander is one of my sources,” Callie continued. “And my other two sources are my eyes and my ears,” she added.
“Damien gave Pamela and Ian a week – starting today – to get to really know each other,” Marjorie explained. She was silent for a moment before adding, “I barely know Ian, but I really like him. Damien says that he’s not here to protect Pamela. He’s here in order to be saved by Pamela.”
Callie looked down at her typewriter for a long moment before saying, “I don’t know any man who needs to be saved.”
“What about Zachary, Nathaniel, Hunter, Damien, Cowboy Dave, and Josiah?” Marjorie asked.

6/8/13-Time to copy and paste what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my Work breaks to my Word Document.

6/8/13-Time to do some writing on Pamela and Ian before leaving for Work.

6/7/13-Damien telling Pamela that Ian needs her to save him.  The next seven days will be very, very interesting between Pamela and Ian.  I’m hoping it’ll also get very, very hot between them.  🙂

Thunder Mountain, Colorado
One of the clock that afternoon

Pamela looked up to find her brother watching her.
Standing, she asked, “You’re not going to perform the annulment ceremony, are you?”
Damien suddenly realized that he had underestimated his sister.
Pamela was very knowledgeable and so very observant for someone so young and so very innocent.
“I will perform the annulment ceremony seven days from now.”
“I don’t want to be married to Mr. Grant for seven days, Damien! Not even seven seconds! Why are you doing this to me?”
In the beginning, it was all about Pamela – protecting Pamela.
But now…
Damien found himself saying, “I’m doing this for Ian.”
“What? What do you mean you’re doing this for Ian?”
Damien was silent for a long moment before saying, “I once thought that you needed protecting.”
“I don’t need anyone’s protection!” Pamela exclaimed.
Damien smiled, and said, “Let me finish, Pamela. I once thought that you needed protecting. While I’m not happy that Ian is William Gray’s half-brother, I came to realize in such a short time that Ian is nothing like his half-brother.”
“I don’t need Mr. Grant’s protection!” Pamela exclaimed. “Tell him to go back to Colorado Springs!”
“Pamela?” Damien warned. Ian would definitely have his hands full for the next week. He smiled again.
“Why are you smiling?” Pamela demanded.
“Pamela, you don’t need Ian’s protection. You can definitely take care of yourself.” He did not add that that worried him.”
“It’s about time that you realize that!” Pamela exclaimed.
Ignoring his sister’s outbursts, Damien said, “Ian is the one who needs your protection.”
When Pamela wrinkled her dark brow in confusion, Damien added, “Ian needs you to save him.”

6/7/13-How interesting that everyone in Thunder Mountain sees Pamela in a different light from how I see her/created her/wrote her.  They see her as either helpless or a monster.  While Pamela can be very innocent, and is very vulnerable, she is brave and wild and fearless – hence the title BE WILD MY LITTLE CHILD.  To her brother Damien’s disbelief, and to Pamela’s, Damien makes Pamela stay married to Ian for one week not because she needs Ian’s protection, but because he needs her – she is good for him.  Pamela may not understand this at first, but she’ll soon come to understand that Ian does indeed need someone like her to heal his heart and soul, and make him a better man.  Instead of being Pamela’s hero, Pamela is Ian’s hero (ine).  She is his wild savior.  What a love story this is turning into!

6/5/13-Here’s a snippet of the scene I’m writing now:

Up on Thunder Mountain
Noon

“We hope that we’re not disturbing you by showing up uninvited,” Marjorie said, sitting down on the leather sofa.
“You’re not disturbing us,” Ian said. “This is your home. How is your brother?”
Her smile widening, Marjorie said, “Alexander can return to his home tomorrow, but he’ll still need to rest. Damien and I will be staying with him,” she emphasized.
Running his hand through his blond hair, Ian looked out the floor-to-ceiling picture window, and said, “I think it’s best that you perform the annulment ceremony, Damien.”
Marjorie looked at Ian.
Damien was silent for a long moment before saying, “Not yet, Ian. Give the marriage one week. If you decide that you want the marriage annuled at the end of the week, I will gladly annul it.”
Marjorie stared at Damien for a long moment before smiling.
Turning to face Damien and Marjorie, Ian said, albeit a little reluctantly, “All right.”
“Do you fear Pamela?” Marjorie asked.
“No,” Ian honestly said, without hesitation. He was silent for a long moment before adding, “It’s more than just Pamela being the one who fears me. I- I sense that while Pamela understands how to love someone, she doesn’t understand how to be loved. She knows and understands your love because you’re her brother and sister-in-law. But she doesn’t understand the love between a man and a woman. She doesn’t understand the love between a husband and his wife.”
Damien and Marjorie looked at each other for a moment before Marjorie looked at Ian, and asked, “Are you saying that you love Pamela, Ian?”
“No!” Ian quickly exclaimed.
A little too quickly.
“How would you know what she understands, and what she doesn’t understand, Ian?” Damien asked. “You don’t know her at all.”
“I would like to get to know her,” Ian found himself saying.
What in the hell was wrong with him?
Everything that he was thinking and feeling was coming out of his mouth!
This had never happened to him before!
Damien stared at Ian for a long moment before asking, “Is Pamela at the lake?”

6/4/13-The finished Pamela and Ian scene the morning after their wedding.

Up on Thunder Mountain
September 6, 1881 – After eight of the clock that morning

Ian awoke to find Pamela standing over him with a long, sharp knife, and almost shit his pants.
Laughing, Pamela asked, “Did I scare you, Mr. Grant? I came to wake you up to tell you that breakfast is ready.”
Sitting up once he was convinced that he hadn’t had a heart attack, Ian groggily said, “I pray that I’m not breakfast.”
Smiling, Pamela said, “In case you’ve forgotten, Mr. Grant, not only do I not eat stupid people, I am a vegetarian.”
Returning her smile, albeit a little shakily, Ian said, “I have not forgotten, Pamela Morning Star.” He eyed the long, sharp knife quickly before asking, “Would you mind putting the knife down?”
When Pamela just stared at him, he gently said, “I will never hurt you, Pamela.”
It was several long moments before Pamela finally put the knife down on the table.
As she did so, he could not help but stare at her webbed hands.
Defensively, Pamela quickly put her hands behind her back, and exclaimed, “Don’t stare at my hands!”
“You don’t have to be ashamed of your webbed hands, Pamela,” Ian gently said.
“I’m not ashamed of my webbed hands!” Pamela quickly exclaimed.
“Then why are you hiding your hands behind your back, Pamela?” Ian gently asked.
Pamela looked down at the carpet for a long moment before sitting down on it.
When Chewy laid his head in her lap, she did not hesitate to remove her hands from behind her back, and gently, and lovingly, stroke his white fur with them.
It was several long moments before she finally said, “Chewy doesn’t judge me. He doesn’t call me a freak,” she whispered.
“I don’t judge you, Pamela,” Ian said. “And don’t ever call yourself a freak!” he warned.
Looking at Mr. Grant, Pamela exclaimed, “You judged me the moment you met me, and learned that I was a cannibal! Moments ago proved that you still fear me, and think that I’m going to eat you! You had a reaction to my webbed hands! And you called Lulu a nasty, little Injun!”
“First of all, Pamela, Lulu is a nasty, little Injun!” Ian exclaimed. “Why do you keep defending her after what she’s done to you?”
“I am not defending Lulu,” Pamela said. “I just don’t like the word “Injun”. It’s a terrible, terrible word to describe my kind!”
“I’m sorry, Pamela,” Ian gently said. “I didn’t mean to offend you or your kind. It’s just that Lulu is a nasty, little In- thing, and I don’t know how else to describe her.”
To his surprise, Pamela laughed.
It was a charming laugh that sounded like a combination of music and wind.
He suddenly found himself looking at her.
Really looking at her.
She was wearing a long green and orange strapless gown that not only hugged her curves, it flowed loosely around her.
Beneath the hem of her dress, he could see her bare feet.
A flowered wreath adorned her raven hair, which beautifully framed her round face.
“Do you make your own clothes?” He did not add how lovely she looked in her dress since she did not like or believe in compliments.
Smiling proudly, Pamela said, “Yes.”
Ian suddenly found himself wondering if Pamela was wearing drawers beneath her dress.
He quickly shook his head of such a dirty thought, and asked, “What’s for breakfast? I’m starving!”

CHAPTER THIRTY

Up on Thunder Mountain
September 5, 1881 – After nine of the clock that night

Pamela returned from her swim in the lake – Chewy behind her – to find Ian coming out of Damien and Marjorie’s bedroom.
“What were you doing in Damien and Marjorie’s bedroom, Mr. Grant?”
Ignoring Pamela calling him Mr. Grant, Ian said, “Damien and Marjorie said that I could use their bedroom. They will be staying at her brother’s house.” Looking her over from wet head to dirty toes, he added, “I’m glad that you decided to put your dress back on instead of walking naked through the forest.”
Defensively, Pamela exclaimed, “I don’t make a habit of walking around naked! Your brother stole my clothes!”
“What about the night at the hotel?”
Glaring at Mr. Grant, Pamela exclaimed, “Marjorie told you what happened that night! Something I don’t think I can forgive her for,” she whispered, staring down at the floor.
“Your brother and sister-in-law are trying to protect you, Pamela,” Ian said.
Once again, Pamela glared at Mr. Grant, and exclaimed, “I can take care of myself! I don’t need their protection, and I don’t need yours!”
Wisely, Ian did not mention that she hadn’t done a very good job of taking care of herself. Instead, he asked, “Why won’t you let your brother and sister-in-law protect you, Pamela? Why won’t you let them get close to you? They love you.”
Ignoring his words, Pamela said, “I wouldn’t talk, Mr. Grant. You didn’t do a very good job in protecting your half-brother.”
Despite the fact that Mr. Grant’s icy blue eyes turned dark and stormy, she didn’t take a step back.
Although she was afraid of him, she knew that he would never hurt her.
And that frightened her even more.
“Don’t ever bring my relationship with William into our relationship again!” Ian warned. “Do I make myself clear, Pamela?”
“Relationship? What relationship? We don’t have a relationship, Mr. Grant.”
“You’re walking on very thin ice, Pamela Morning Star,” Ian said.
“I’m very familiar with very thin ice, Mr. Grant. Are you? And in case you’ve forgotten, I have cannibalistic tendencies. I would be very careful. While I don’t eat stupid people, I’m very willing to change my mind since my brother refuses to annul our marriage.”
Without a by-your-leave, she and Chewy hurried up the staircase to the landing above.
Ian sat down on the leather sofa, leaned his head back, and stared up at the wooden beams.
What had he gotten himself into by marrying Pamela Morning Star to protect her from bigotry?
He was tired of being everyone’s protector and savior.
The only difference between Pamela and William, though, was that Pamela was not evil.
Despite the fact that she had cannibalistic tendencies, she would never intentionally hurt a living soul.
She did what she did to protect herself.
And, she was very, very beautiful.
Ian looked up at the landing to find Pamela watching him.
What was she thinking?
For some reason he didn’t understand, he stood, walked into Damien and Marjorie’s bedroom, and closed the door behind him.

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

After half past six of the clock that evening

When Pamela saw Damien, Marjorie, and Chewy waiting for them, she quickly hurried over to them, hugged them, and then bent down to play with Chewy.
“Are you all right, Pamela?” Marjorie asked her.
“Did that bastard hurt you?” Damien asked.
Marjorie put her hand on Damien’s robed arm.
Pamela stood, stared at her brother for a long moment, and then asked, “Are you speaking of Mr. Gray or Mr. Grant, Damien?”
“Both,” Damien said.
“Damien?” Marjorie warned.
“Mr. Grant didn’t hurt me, Damien,” Pamela said.
She looked up at him when he came up behind her, and said, “Mr. Grant, this is my brother Chief Damien Midnight Storm and my sister-in-law Marjorie Main.”
“Ian,” Ian corrected her. “My name is Ian. I’m your husband, not an acquaintance.”
“You won’t be my husband for long, Mr. Grant,” Pamela pointed out. “I want an annulment ceremony since I’m now back in Thunder Mountain, safe and sound.”
When Ian opened his mouth to reply, Myrna came up to them, and said, “We are being watched by curious eyes. Let’s go to the hotel, and finish this interesting conversation in private.”
“Chief Midnight Storm, Ms. Main, I would like to introduce you to my stepmother Myrna Gray,” Ian said. Looking at Marjorie, he carefully said, “Myrna is William’s mother.” He then looked at Renée, and said, “And this is Renée Conti, William’s ex-intended.”
While Damien and Marjorie remained silent, Renée said, “I wondered about the woman who stole my William from me.”
Marjorie stared at Miss Conti for a long moment before saying, “I never stole William away from you. I never wanted him.” Carefully, she asked, “Do you know the truth about William, Miss Conti?”
Sadly, Renée whispered, “I do now.”
Wisely, Marjorie dropped the subject, and then said, “Let’s go to my brother Alexander’s house since he is recuperating at the Mitchells’ home.” Looking at Pamela, she added, “Pamela is not welcome at the hotel – especially after what happened last May.”
Pamela glared at Marjorie for a long moment before saying, “I don’t want to go to Alexander’s home. I want to go home.” Looking at Mr. Grant, she added, “Without you.”
Furious, Ian asked, “What happened at the hotel last May?”
“Nothing!” Pamela exclaimed.
Marjorie bitterly said, “An Indian Maiden by the name of Lulu attacked Pamela. Pamela had just arrived in Thunder Mountain, and was not in her right mind after what she had went through in South Dakota. She ran away from the campsite, and stood outside in the pouring rain.”
“That’s the reason why she’s not welcome at the hotel?” Ian asked, wrinkling his blond brow in confusion.
Marjorie looked at Pamela for a long moment before whispering, “Pamela was completely naked.”
Furious, Ian said, “I met this Lulu that you’re talking about outside of Colorado Springs. The nasty, little Injun-”
“Don’t ever say the word “Injun” again!” a furious Damien warned. “Even if it to describe someone like Lulu. Do I make myself clear, Mr. Grant?”
“Yes,” Ian said. Despite the fact that he had just met him, and their meeting wasn’t going very well, he liked and respected Chief Midnight Storm.
“Were Lulu and Mr. Gray together?” Marjorie asked.
“Yes!” Pamela quickly exclaimed.
Damien stared at his sister for a long moment before gently asking, “Pamela, did Mr. Gray or Lulu hurt you?”
Pamela looked down at the ground for a long moment before looking at Marjorie, and saying, “Mr. Gray stripped me naked, and molested me. Lulu knocked me unconscious when I bit him. I later bit her after she chased me into the forest. That’s where Mr. Grant found me.”
“Ian,” Ian corrected her.
Tears suddenly streamed down Renée’s face. Bearly able to get her words out, she said, “I- I thank God that I ne- never marr- married that mon- monster! Wh- What did I ever see in him?” She put her face in her hands, and cried. “What’s to be- become of me?” she sobbed.
Ian pulled Renée into his arms, and gently whispered, “You will always have a place in our home, Renée. You will never be alone. You’re family.”
Gently rubbing Renée’s back, Myrna said, “I will help you get through this, Renée. I will need your help to get me through this, too.”
Smiling through her tears, Renée whispered, “Thank you, Ian. Thank you, Myrna.”
Wiping away her own tears, Myrna said, “I think it’s best that Renée and I return to Colorado Springs tonight, Ian. You need to settle things with Chief Midnight Storm and Ms. Main. And you also need to settle things with Pamela.” She stared at Pamela for a long moment before adding, “Your wife.”
Renée nodded her head in agreement.
“There is nothing to settle!” Pamela exclaimed. Looking at Damien, she said, “I want you to perform an annulment ceremony. Tonight!”
To Pamela’s surprise, as well as to Ian and Marjorie’s surprise, Damien gently said, “I can’t do that, Pamela.”
“What do you mean you can’t do that, Damien?” Pamela asked. “Of course you can do that! You must do that!”
Damien stared at his sister for a long moment before saying, “I think it would be best for you to be married. I think it would be best for you to have Ian Grant guide and protect you.”
“I don’t need his guidance and protection, Damien! I can take care of myself!”
“You were kidnapped after I forbade you to go to the lake alone, Pamela!” Damien exclaimed. “You claim Thunder Mountain and the forest as your home when you haven’t been here long enough for it to be your home!”
If looks could kill, he’d be dead!
The moment the words left his mouth, he wanted to take them back.
While Marjorie just stared at him, Pamela glared at him, anger and something close to hate making her black eyes even blacker.
Without a by-your-leave, she quickly disappeared into the curious crowd, Chewy running after her.
“That went well,” he said.
“You think?” Marjorie exclaimed.
“Shouldn’t we go after her?” Ian asked.
“Pamela’s right,” Damien said, staring into nothingness. “Despite the fact that she’s only been in Thunder Mountain for a short time, she knows this land like the back of her hand. There is no danger at the moment. Once she has cooled off, she’ll return to the cabin.” Looking at Mrs. Gray and Miss Conti, he asked, “Are you sure that you don’t want to spend the night, and return to Colorado Springs come morning?”
“We’re sure,” Myrna said. Looking at Ian, she added, “Ian needs to be alone with his wife.”

5/29/13-Am going to do a little writing before leaving for Work in a few minutes.  September 5, 1881-Ian meets the in-laws.  It doesn’t go so well.  😦

5/28/13-Here’s a snippet of the scene I just wrote.  I won’t share the entire scene – just a snippet of it.

5/28/13-Time to transfer what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my Work breaks to my Word Document.

5/27/13-Here’s the first scene between Pamela and Ian as husband and wife.  It’s off to a rocky (no pun intended) start.

CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

After five of the clock that afternoon

…”Do you take this woman to be your lawful wedded wife?”
“I do.”
“Do you take this man to be your lawful wedded husband?”-
“Pamela?”
Pamela looked up at Mr. Grant – the man who was now her husband.
Husband.
“I will not sleep with you!” she blurted out.
She then closed her black eyes, wishing that she could take back her words.
For the first time in his twenty-eight years, Ian was speechless.
He didn’t know whether to be insulted or flattered.
But instead of telling her that he had no intention of sleeping with her, for fear of insulting her, he wisely kept his mouth shut.
And yet, for some reason that he didn’t understand, Pamela not allowing him to be her husband in every sense of the word bothered him.
He stared at her for a long moment.
Despite being wild and strong and tough and brave, she was very, very vulnerable. And very, very innocent.
Did Pamela understand the concept of love?
What it was like to love?
What it was like to be loved?
While this marriage of convenience had nothing whatsoever to do with love – he didn’t believe in love – he wasn’t sure if Pamela understood what a relationship was – whether it was between siblings, friends, a man and a woman, or a husband and his wife.
She obviously believed that all men were the same.
And that worried him.
Especially because of her cannibalistic tendencies.
When he slowly stood, and moved away from the desk, Pamela took several quick steps back.
Despite the fact that he was furious, he gently said, “I will never hurt you, Pamela. Why can’t you understand that? I’m nothing like my half-brother. Nothing!”
Despite the fact that Pamela’s black eyes widened with fear, she did not take another step back.
Damn! Now she looked like a trapped wild deer.
It was nice to know that she thought of him as an evil monster when she was the one who was considered an evil monster by white folks.
And that really stunk!
Especially because it was true.
While he was nothing like William – nothing! – he could still be very, very cruel – especially when it came to getting what he wanted.
After all, he had just seen to it that his friend Michael O’Rourke lost his position as owner of this train.
He did not believe in giving people second chances!
“I- I never said that you were anything like your half-brother, Mr. Grant,” Pamela said.
“Not in so many words, Pamela,” he said, checking to make sure that they had everything before getting off the train.
“Mr. Grant, I’m-”
“I don’t want to discuss this anymore, Pamela!” Ignoring the hurt, frightened look on her face, he said, “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to the dining car to get Myrna and Renée. Do not leave this private car until I return for you!”
Pamela was determined to rebel against Mr. Grant, and leave the private car without his permission.
But when he slammed out of the private room, she found herself sitting down in one of the chairs by the large desk, and waiting for him to return with his stepmother and Mr. Gray’s ex-intended.
Suddenly, she really wished that she could take back her words regarding not wanting to sleep with him.
Not because the subject matter embarrassed her.
But because she suddenly realized that she wanted to sleep with him.
Afraid of her feelings – feelings she didn’t understand – she put her face in her hands.

5/27/13-Time to transfer what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad on my Work break to my Word Document.

5/27/13-Time to do a little writing on Pamela and Ian before leaving for Work.  September 5, 1881-Pamela and Ian are married-in name only.  Ian doesn’t know whether to be flattered or insulted when Pamela says that she won’t sleep with him.  He wonders what she knows about men.

Here’s the photo I’m using for Ian’s front cover – modeled by the FANTASTIC Adam Jones and photographed by the BRILLIANT Robin Polk.

5/24/13-The day of my photo shoot for Pamela and Ian – May 22nd.

5/24/13-I did some writing on my iPhone Notepad on my Work breaks today.  Time to transfer it to my Word Document.

5/24/13-Time to do a little writing before leaving for Work.  September 5, 1881-Pamela and Ian are married-but in name only.  There will be no honeymoon or fun stuff.  Dang!!!  😦  🙂

5/23/13-Here’s the scene where Hunter promises Nathaniel that he won’t take the Lord’s name in vain again, plus news re:  Pamela and Ian.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Thunder Mountain, Colorado
September 5, 1881 – After four of the clock that afternoon

Nathaniel opened the front door to find Hunter sitting on the bottom porch step.
“Would you like to come inside, Hunter?”
“If you don’t mind, I’d like to sit out here in the fresh air,” Hunter said, staring into nothingness.
Nathaniel stepped outside, closed the front door, and sat down on the top porch step to give Hunter some space.
He listened to the sound of birds chirping, and basked in the warm, September afternoon sun.
He seemed to be the only one who enjoyed the heat.
He had always hated Winter.
Until he had met Agnes.
Several long minutes passed before Hunter finally told him about Marta’s telegram and Danny’s declaration regarding refusing to have children.
Putting his head in his hands, Hunter sobbed, “Why in the hell is God challenging me this way, Nathaniel? Is it because I run a saloon? Is it because I take His name in vain?”
Moving down the steps to sit beside Hunter, Nathaniel put his hand on his shoulder, and gently said, “While I don’t like it that you take the Lord’s name in vain, God is not punishing you for doing so, Hunter. And God would never punish you for owning a saloon! What you do for your girls is something no other saloon owner has ever done! God is very proud of you!”
Looking up at Nathaniel, Hunter asked, “How do you know, Nathaniel? Do you send telegrams back and forth?”
Nathaniel laughed, and then said, “I believe it in my heart and soul.”
“You sound just like Damien,” Hunter said.
“If it hadn’t been for Damien, I wouldn’t be here talking with you right now. I wouldn’t be married to my beautiful and stubborn Agnes.” Swallowing, he whispered, “I’d be dead.”
Hunter took Nathaniel’s hand in his, and said, “I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who needs prayers.”
Nathaniel smiled.
“Is there something that you two want to tell us?”
Nathaniel and Hunter turned to find Damien, Marjorie, and Chewy watching them.
Smiling a sad smile, Hunter said, “I asked Nathaniel to pray for me.”
Still smiling, Nathaniel said, “As it turns out, I may be the one who needs praying for.”
“As of this very moment, I promise never to take the Lord’s name in vain again.”
Damien laughed. “Let’s see how long it takes before you take His name in vain.”
“Laugh all you want, Damien!” Hunter defensively said. When Damien looked down at the ground, Hunter whispered, “I’m sorry, Damien.”
Damien smiled, and said, “I will root for you every step of the way, Hunter. You are not alone.”
“And neither are you, Nathaniel,” Agnes said, stepping out of the house, carefully sitting down on the step behind her husband, and putting her arms around him.
Nathaniel’s smile widened.
“Damien, Chewy, and I are sorry to interrupt your prayer meeting, Hunter and Nathaniel, but we have some very shocking, and very interesting, news for you,” Marjorie said.
“Some very shocking, and very interesting, news?” Agnes asked, arching one dark brow. Smiling, she said, “It’s a good thing that Callie is no longer a newspaper reporter.”
While she, Nathaniel, and Hunter laughed, Marjorie looked at Damien for a moment before saying, “Callie may not be able to print this news in the papers, but she will be able to print this news in her next book.”
“Next book?” Agnes asked. “There’s going to be a new Thunder Mountain bride?” Looking at Nathaniel, she asked, “Do you know anything about an upcoming wedding?”
Nathaniel shook his head, and waited for Marjorie to explain.
Instead, Damien explained by saying, “I received a telegram from Ian Grant telling me that the train that he and Pamela will be arriving on will be late. He couldn’t go into too much detail on a telegram. He concluded by saying that due to prejudice against Indians riding on the train, he had no choice but to marry Pamela in order to protect her.”
He laughed at the sight of Agnes, Nathaniel, and Hunter’s mouths hanging open in surprise.
“Go-”, Hunter started to exclaim, and then stopped, took a deep breath, and then exclaimed, “Holy cow!” Looking at Nathaniel, he asked, “Is that taking the Lord’s name in vain since I used the word “holy”?”
Nathaniel and Agnes laughed.
“No, Hunter,” Nathaniel said. “Holy cow is perfectly fine.” Looking at Damien, he asked, “What do you plan on doing, Damien?”
Damien did not look very happy. He looked as if a dark storm cloud was hanging over his head.
“I plan on having Pamela’s marriage to the half-brother of my enemy annulled. This Ian Grant wrote that he married Pamela to protect her. I know, deep in my heart and soul, that Ian Grant wants one thing, and one thing only. If he hurts my sister, I will see to it that he pays!”
Marjorie looked up at her husband. She didn’t know why she felt that Damien’s intuition was wrong this time.
For some reason she didn’t understand, she didn’t believe that Mr. Ian Grant would hurt Pamela.
For some reason she didn’t understand, she didn’t believe that Mr. Ian Grant was anything like Mr. William Gray.
She hoped to God that her own intuition was right.

5/23/13-September 5, 1881-Hunter Lord makes a vow never to take the Lord’s name in vain again.  After seeing the film 42 in which Jackie Robinson promises Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) that he’ll never lose his temper, and keeps that promise, I decided to make Hunter promise Nathaniel, and God, that he will never take the Lord’s name in vain again.  I now need to work on both my temper and Lord vaining.  🙂  Hey, if Jackie Robinson and Hunter Lord can do it, I can do it, too!!!  🙂

5/23/13-Time to do some writing.  I didn’t feel like doing any after yesterday.
September 5, 1881-Hunter asks Nathaniel to pray with him.  Damien announces that Pamela and some Dude named Ian are married.

5/22/13-Pictures from my photo shoot today.

5/22/13-Today is going to be so exciting!!!  🙂  Today is my first photo shoot ever for my new book cover Thunder Mountain Brides:  Be Wild My Little Child-Pamela.  I will be having my special guests over for the photo shoot-models Maya Tremblay (Pamela), and Adam Jones (Ian), and photographer Robin Polk.  I will be posting the photos and videos taken of this exciting, fun photo shoot.  🙂

5/21/13-My brilliant cover artist Michael Hebler started the cover for Be Wild My Little Child-Pamela today, and it looks fantastic!!!  🙂  I can’t wait to show it to you!  It’s great that he sent it today so that I can have it for my photo shoot tomorrow.  🙂

5/21/13-September 5, 1881-Hunter asks Nathaniel to pray with him – for Marta and for Danny.  You’ll have to read the books to find out why Hunter needs prayers for Marta and Danny.  🙂  He also needs prayers for himself.  He also promises not to take the Lord’s name in vain anymore.  He keeps his promise.  If Jackie Robinson can promise Branch Rickey that he won’t lose his temper in 42, and keeps his promise, Hunter can promise Nathaniel and God that he won’t take the Lord’s name in vain, and keep his promise.  If only I could work on my own temper.  🙂

5/21/13-Here is the scene I just wrote where Ian is about to make Pamela his bride.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

Colorado Springs, Colorado
September 5, 1881 – Two of the clock that afternoon

Ian looked up when Michael O’Rourke, the owner of the train, asked, “Mr. Grant, may I speak with you for a moment?” He noticed the way that Michael looked at Pamela for a moment before returning his gaze back to him, and adding, in a whisper, “In private.”
Refusing to stand, Ian said, “Whatever you have to say, Michael, can be said in public. And in front of this young lady!” he added in a warning tone.
Taking a deep breath, Michael said, “I had to refund the money of twenty customers just now. I can’t afford to lose any more money.”
“And why is that, Michael?” Ian asked, glaring up at him.
Uncomfortable, Michael asked, “Can we please speak about this in private, Sir?”
“Tell me now!” Ian roared, startling Pamela and those around them.
“I’m sorry, Sir, but Injuns are not allowed on this train,” Michael whispered.
Ian quickly stood, and punched Michael in the face, knocking him to the floor.
Standing over him, he exclaimed, “After everything I’ve done for you, Michael, this is how you repay me? I loaned you the money so that you could buy this train! I would have sat in my private car had it not been for the fact that this “Injun” had never been on a train before! Don’t ever call her an Injun again! Do I make myself clear? And just to make myself clearer, I will have you fired from your position as owner of this train! Until then, this young lady and I will be taking the two o’clock train to Thunder Mountain, and we will be sitting out here with the rest of you bigoted folks so that she can enjoy her first train ride. But first, since we’ve been delayed due to this unfortunate incident, one more delay won’t matter. Is there, by any chance, a minister on this train? If there is, I need your services. I plan to marry this beautiful “Injun” before we reach Thunder Mountain.”

5/21/13-I have done some amazing writing today while the housekeeper is here.  I’m now at my writing desk while she’s cleaning my bedroom.

5/21/13-Pamela and Ian-September 5, 1881-Pamela and Ian can’t ride the train – even though he owns a private car – because Pamela is an Indian.  Ian is furious, and Pamela is embarrassed.  Ian tells the owner of the train that Pamela has every right to ride the train – especially because she’s his “wife”.

5/21/13-Pamela and Ian-September 5, 1881-Damien got a telegram from Ian – he’ll be returning Pamela to him later that day.  Hunter gets a telegram from his sister Marta.  It doesn’t sound good.  It’s also her birthday.

5/21/13-Time to continue writing.  I kept nodding off again last night.

5/20/13-I’m going to write a couple of new scenes while they’re fresh in my head.

Pamela and Ian-September 5, 1881-Ian is about to return Pamela to Thunder Mountain when Fate has another plan for them.  Meanwhile, back in Thunder Mountain, Hunter finally gets a telegram from his sister Marta (whose birthday it happens to be).

5/20/13-Time to transfer what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my breaks at Work to my Word Document.

5/20/13-Time to do a little writing before leaving for Work in a little bit.

5/19/13-Time to transfer what I wrote on my iPhone Notepad during my breaks at Work to my Word Document.

5/19/13-Time to do some writing before leaving for Work.  I was nodding off last night while finishing the scene I was working on, and posting it.  🙂

5/18/13-Ian’s back story – a Soap Opera complete with Drama, Jealous, Revenge, and Murder!

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Just after nine of the clock that morning

Ian looked up from the large pile of paperwork that awaited him to find his stepmother standing in the doorway to his study.
“May I help you with something, Myrna?”
“Don’t have that attitude with me, Ian!” Myrna warned. “Don’t forget that I changed your diapers!”
Smiling, Ian stood, and said, “While I’d like to forget that you changed my diapers, I’ll never forget that you loved me like your own child.”
Staring down at the wooden floor covered by an oriental rug, he suddenly thought about the woman who had bore him.
The woman who hadn’t allowed him to call her mother.
But the woman standing before him, the woman whose husband had cheated on her with another woman, accepted him and loved him like he was her natural son.
He had been born on the eighteenth of May, 1853. Although William, born on the third of July, 1853, should have been the legitimate heir since he was the legitimate son, for some unexplained reason, John Gray had made him, Ian, the legitimate heir.
Despite the fact that Myrna Gray had been angry and hurt, she had loved him the moment he had been born.
They had formed a loving, unbreakable bond that had made Lucy Grant jealous, bitter, and very, very deadly.
Her bitter and deadly jealousy had not only rubbed off on William, it had sent John Gray to his grave when he drank the poisoned tea meant for Myrna.
To avoid prison and possible execution, Lucy Grant had stuck
her pistol in her mouth, and pulled the trigger.
Her suicide had affected him and William in two very different ways.
While he had only become bitter, William had become evil.
Growing up, he and William had been very, very close.
Until the day that William had “accidentally” learned what had happened.
William had literally changed overnight from golden boy to monster.
And he became William’s “first victim”.
Quickly changing the subject, Myrna said, “I’m sorry that I screamed when I saw Pamela’s hands last night.”
“I was just as shocked as you were,” Ian said.
“Forgive me for asking this question, Ian – is she dangerous?”
Ian was silent for a long moment before finally saying, “I don’t believe that she is. If she were, she would have eaten me last night.”
Before Myrna could reply, a female voice behind them said, ““Like I said last night, Mr. Grant, I don’t eat stupid people. It would make me just as stupid.”
Ian and Myrna turned to face Pamela, who was standing in the doorway.
Ian was not prepared for what he saw.

5/18/13-Am going to do some writing before going to bed.

5/18/13-Before Work started this morning, I did some writing on Pamela and Ian on my iPhone Notepad.  I am now going to transfer it to my Word Document.  Boy, Ian’s back story sure is turning into a Soap Opera! – Drama, Jealousy, Revenge, Murder…WOW!!!

5/18/13-I love giving my heroines and heroes birthdates.  It makes them more human.  Since the creation of THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES, I gave Pamela the birthdate February 27, 1862.  I just decided on Ian’s birthdate today.  I knew since the beginning of this book that he’d be 28, born in 1853.  But since I’m now on the scene where his birthdate needs to be mentioned, I decided on today’s date – May 18th.  So Ian’s birthdate is May 18, 1853.

5/18/13-Am going to work on Pamela and Ian for a few minutes before leaving for Work.

5/17/13-Am going to work on Pamela and Ian for a few minutes before going to bed.

5/16/13-I wanted to share this amazing Pamela scene with you to show you her vulnerable, innocent side when it comes to being considered a freak:

September 4, 1881 – Just after seven of the clock in the morning

Her eyes closed, Pamela smiled as the warm sun played on her face.
For the first time in her nineteen years, she wanted to snuggle under the covers, sink into a deep sleep, and never wake up.
Instead, she gently rubbed her eyes with both fists, and slowly opened them.
For the first time in her nineteen years, she was sleeping in a real bed – an amazing luxury.
And yet, she missed her bearskin rug back home.
Turning over in the bedding, she stared up at the ceiling.
Thoughts of Mr. Grant suddenly filled her mind.
Despite the fact that he was blonde- haired and blue-eyed, and nothing like his half-brother, he was very, very dangerous.
And that fact frightened her more than Mr. William Gray did.
Especially since he hadn’t hurt her last night.
But it was only a matter of time before he did.
Pamela held up her hands, and stared at the webbing.
Mr. Grant’s stepmother’s and Mr. Gray’s ex-intended’s reactions hadn’t bothered her last night.
She was used to such reactions.
But for some reason she didn’t understand, the expression on Mr. Grant’s face had bothered her.

5/16/13-I did some more writing while on my breaks at work.

Pamela and Ian – September 4, 1881 – The next morning.

5/16/13-Time to do some writing on THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES: BE WILD MY LITTLE CHILD.

Pamela and Ian – September 4, 1881 – Ian takes Pamela to his home to meet his stepmother and his half-brother’s ex-intended.

5/15/13-While I was on my breaks at Work, I was able to do some writing on Be Wild My Little Child – Pamela.  I used the notepad icon on my iPhone to write.  This is good so that you’re not limited to your computer if you have to be away from it.  And I wasn’t ready to stop writing just yet.  Am now going to copy and paste what I wrote on my breaks to my word document.

5/15/13-Time to do some writing on THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES: BE WILD MY LITTLE CHILD – PAMELA before going to Work. I have started posting updates on my OFFICAL THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES Website.  🙂

Pamela and Ian – September 3, 1881 – Ian takes Pamela to his home to meet his stepmother and his half-brother’s ex-intended.

5/14/13-Since I’m in the mood – and mode – time to do some writing on THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES: BE WILD MY LITTLE CHILD – PAMELA before going to bed. I can now start posting updates on my OFFICAL THUNDER MOUNTAIN BRIDES Website.  🙂

Pamela and Ian – September 3, 1881 – Ian takes Pamela to his home to meet his stepmother and his half-brother’s ex-intended.
